Our mission
Ezra’s mission is to detect cancer early for everyone. We are doing this by providing a look inside your body utilizing state-of-the-art imaging technology such as full-body MRI scans, low-dose CT scans, and advanced machine learning techniques. Ezra’s OS for healthcare will make it easier for everyone to improve their health by leveraging AI to better understand health data.
Our scanning service currently operates in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and we have ambitions to scale Ezra’s scanning service & AIs globally. To date, we have provided 1000+ members with cancer screening services and detected early cancer warning signs in 4% of our members.
We’re currently working towards new AI-based medical technology clearances that will help Ezra support our members in improving their health.
Your mission
As a Full Stack Developer within our Medical Devices Development team, you will play a key role in developing products that help people to detect cancer early.
You will work with the MRI Operations, Machine Learning, Quality, and Regulatory teams to deliver on our ambitious roadmap for the year. You will be working in a small, fast-paced, detail-oriented team focused on bringing safe and effective devices to production.
As Ezra’s Full Stack Developer for Medical Devices, you will:
- Design & Development
- Architect and build cloud-native products for patients, doctors, and imaging partners.
- Create responsive, secure, and scalable software solutions (front-end + back-end).
- Safety & Security
- Ensure all products adhere to safety, data privacy, and security best practices.
- CI/CD & Testing
- Develop, maintain, and improve automated tests (unit, integration, regression).
- Set up, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of machine learning and software artifacts.
- ML Integration & Infrastructure
- Collaborate with ML scientists and radiologists to transform research prototypes into robust production systems.
- Package, test, and deploy containers and ML artifacts for efficient, reproducible workflows.
- Establish best practices for automation, monitoring, and scaling ML lifecycle steps.
- Documentation & Regulatory
- Produce and maintain technical documentation for regulatory clearances (e.g., FDA).
- Assist in risk assessments and architecture design reviews to comply with medical device standards.
- Team Collaboration
- Participate in early product planning, risk assessments, and design discussions.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure timely delivery of new features and capabilities.

- Proven experience working with two or more databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, Redis, and/or RabbitMQ
- Proven experience with designing secure and scalable systems on AWS
- Strong grasp of best practices for design documentation, coding styles, CI/CD, containers and systems deployment
- Knowledge of systems design and software architecture (n-tier, microservices, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python language, tooling, and ecosystem for dependency management, packaging, testing, and deployment of production-quality code (e.g., Poetry, Pytest, Pylint)
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the mainstream deep learning frameworks and their ecosystem (e.g., for data pre-processing and distributed training) such as Tensorflow and PyTorch
- Proven experience with CI/CD for automated testing and deployment of ML pipelines and services (e.g., Airflow, Github Actions, Jenkins)
- Familiarity with a ML workflow platform (e.g., MLFlow, Weights and Biases, SageMaker)
