Full Body MRI for Multiple Myeloma

Multiple myeloma is a rare type of white blood cell cancer that develops in plasma cells. According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), an American’s lifetime risk of developing the disease is about 0.76%, or 1 in 132. The ACS says that multiple myeloma is often difficult to detect early because the disease is frequently asymptomatic until a later stage, or may even cause symptoms that initially seem to be caused by another disease.

The Mayo Clinic lists some possible signs of multiple myeloma:

  • Nausea
  • Excessive thirst
  • Weight loss
  • Appetite loss
  • Constipation
  • Bone Pain, specifically in the chest or spine
  • Confusion/brain fog
  • Fatigue
  • Frequent infection
  • Numbness or weakness in the legs
  • Conditions caused by low blood counts, including anemia, thrombocytopenia, and leukopenia
  • Hypercalcemia
  • Nerve damage
  • Kidney problems

The good news, however, is that Ezra’s full-body MRI scans can pick up bone lesions caused by multiple myeloma. They cost $1950 for both men and women, and our payment plans are flexible: we offer both yearly and monthly payment plans, the latter of which are $180 per month.
