Haseeb Ahmed, M.D.

Dr. Haseeb Ahmed was born and raised in Queens, NY. He went to the Bronx High School of Science and proceeded to double major in Biochemistry and Religious Studies at Stony Brook University. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Downstate. After medical school he went on to complete his Internal Medicine training at NYU Winthrop Hospital where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. He then stayed at NYU Winthrop Hospital for his fellowship training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. During his fellowship, he spent time at New York Presbyterian Columbia Medical Center to receive additional training in Hepatology.

Dr. Ahmed is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He is affiliated with NYU Winthrop Hospital. Dr Ahmed lives in New Hyde Park, NY and is married with two young children.

In his free time, Dr. Ahmed enjoys traveling, spending time with his friends and family, and sports. He is a Mets fan, and a five-time Long Island Softball league champion and a one-time finals MVP.
