RadNet, Inc., is an industry leader in providing outpatient imaging services to thousands of patients at hundreds of diagnostic imaging centers across the country. Like Ezra, RadNet is committed to making cutting-edge health technology accessible to all patients and empowering you to take ownership of your healthcare. Now you can get an Ezra Scan at select RadNet Imaging Centers near you.
Founded in 1981 by Dr. Howard Berger, RadNet was the first free-standing, outpatient radiology imaging center on the East Coast. Since opening its first center near Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, RadNet has brought its innovative diagnostic radiology services to six U.S. states.
Why Ezra partners with RadNet Imaging Centers
RadNet taps into a vast wealth of knowledge by connecting leaders in radiology, women’s imaging, healthcare services, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and DeepHealth across its network of 346 imaging centers. Best practices and benchmarking ensure that each location lives up to the high-quality standards Ezra expects for you, our patient.
Access to care.
With locations in two of our core markets (California and New York) our partnership with RadNet makes it easy for patients like you to get the same high-quality medical imaging experience Ezra is known for without traveling to an Ezra imaging center.
But access to care doesn’t stop at the door. Our facility partners also offer multilingual care, accessible facilities, and extended operating hours.
Expertise in radiology.
RadNet radiologists are leaders in their field. Their imaging center network focuses on excellence in prostate and breast health. RadNet is also a pioneer in research, best practices, and technology. Their 500+ radiologists leverage their expertise to provide the best diagnostic outcomes. RadNet Imaging’s many recognitions include:
- Listed in the top 100 in Information Week’s TOP 500 Innovators.
- Voted by Imaging Technology News as the “Most Wired” Imaging Company.
- Named #1 Imaging Center Chain by Radiology Business Journal.
State-of-the-art digital imaging.
RadNet uses the most innovative digital technology to advance healthcare. Digital imaging enhances radiography in three important ways:
1. High-quality digital imaging improves the appearance of an image to the human eye.
2. It extracts quantitative information from the image that isn’t apparent with analog films.
3. Digital images are available to view in real-time or for comparison to any previous findings in your EHR (electronic health record). This adds up to better collaboration with your healthcare team.
Diagnostic imaging services.
A CT or computed tomography scan is an advanced type of X-ray exam. During a CT scan, multiple images are taken rapidly from various angles and arranged to produce a view of the body part or organ that is cross-sectional. This view allows radiologists to see deeper into the body. A CT scan is the preferred method of visualizing some organs as well as the head, neck, spine, and extremities.
Ezra offers LDCT through our RadNet partner facilities.
LDCT or Low Dose Computed Tomography is the preferred imaging modality if you have higher risk for developing lung cancer. Talk to your Ezra provider if you have any of these risk factors for lung cancer:
- History of tobacco smoking (cigar and cigarette)
- Exposure to Radon
- Exposure to Asbestos
- Exposure to radioactive materials
- Exposure to diesel exhaust fumes
- Exposure to inhaled chemicals including Talc or Talcum powder
- Family history of lung cancer
- Previous cancer diagnosis
3D mammography (TOMO).
Mammography plus tomosynthesis is the most recent innovation in breast cancer screening. Because this technology picks up details a traditional mammography can miss, radiologists can find cancer earlier.
A 3D mammogram is also more likely to find invasive breast cancers such as inflammatory breast cancer (IBC). Patients with IBC often go undetected for months or even years because the cancer grows into thin sheets of abnormal cells instead of tumors. Finally, 3D mammograms have a lower “recall rate.” This means fewer unnecessary biopsies.
Now available at our New York partner facilities (and soon available at our California locations), the Ezra mammogram is easy to schedule online and easy to complete. It’s insurance-covered for women aged 40 or over (who have insurance), or $325 for self-pay. Plus, your 3D mammogram will take only 20 minutes, and your results will be available in just 48 hours. Book your mammogram today.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Unlike X-ray and CT scans, an MRI doesn’t use radiation. Instead, it uses an electromagnetic field to create accurate images of organs and soft tissue changes. An MRI can even detect prostate cancer with visualization of tumors more accurately than an invasive biopsy.
Some RadNet Imaging partner facilities offer the 3T or 3 Tesla MRI. This is the most advanced MRI technology available today. With 2 times the power of a standard MRI and up to 15 times the power of an open MRI, the 3 Tesla MRI is able to capture the tiniest abnormalities. This new technology is a game-changer in diagnosing early stage cancer.
RadNet offers Ezra Scans, including Ezra Full Body, which is an MRI service that provides a comprehensive look at multiple organs. The scan takes about 60 minutes. Afterward, you get a DVD copy of the MRI to share with your primary care practitioner. An Ezra Medical Provider will contact you within five days to discuss your results.
The Full Body includes an MRI of the following organs:
- Adrenal glands
- Ovaries (women)
- Prostate (men)
- Uterus (women)
In addition to the organs listed above, an Ezra Full Body Plus includes:
